Eternal sunshine on a classy mind

What to do you get when you siphon out the best of Carroll's Alice and Miss Elizabeth Bennett? None other than PWW or Winky as I wud like to refer to her. I think a recent Amazon.com review had her in mind when it wrote the following on a 18th century heroine (cause she so much fits the bill)-

"She is the perfect Victorian era heroine: intelligent, generous, sensible, and incapable of jealousy or any other major sin. That makes her sound like an insufferable goody-goody, but the truth is she's a completely hip character, who if provoked is not above skewering her antagonist with a piece of her exceptionally sharp -- but always polite -- 18th century wit."

Before you start thinking in the lines of the archaic self...ehmmm..ehmmm...YOU ARE WRONG!!! she is the perfect guide to your idle Saturdays when you think the whole world is outside and you need to change the status quo hitherto. Not before long will she replace those verbose pieces like the Times Food guide and Timeout Mumbai by her on-the-spot suggestion. From Zenzi bar to the low profile Hawaiian shack, she will recreate it all for you to mix and match according to your mood; so much so for a customized advice that she will even suggest you what to have for dessert in places like the China-gate, dare you go for sthing else and you will regret missing out on the best....definitely my food-guru :P

But the Fantastic One shines the best when you toss up names like the Bell Jar and Salinger...beats me at times...she knows every damn book that is worth a dekho...she can regurgitate the Oriental self to the wild-wild west estyle to the Objectivism like its some high-school dictation...all with ease mind you...Her qualifications can be a serious misnomer...not that she can't talk about it...never really thought about the cerebrum and the electrical impulses in the same manner after she opened them up in front with ready wit that Feynmannist will be dead proud of...our bookstores have not kept paced with her as most of her recommendations are a hard find...not even the Crossword at Kemp's Corner...like Lauryn Hill's miseducation row..even our miseducation will continue till the books hit the selves...Our lady peace is the new "ism" that will hit you all bibliophiles (much in the same way Sandra O'Connorim hit the US wallas/is justice scene)...One good riddance I have got is remove those new yorker/salon.com/amazon/times review hyperlinks from the 'Favourite" menu of my IE..whenever I need a book review..i know who to buzz :-)

For people with any sort of political affiliation or resource, please make it a point to get this piece fast to the South Block ...10th Janpath would be much better considering the inability of certain quarters to handle the divestment issue with their coalition partners... We have to have "brain gain" of bringing this phenomenon back to India from the States soon for us to have some hope of realising our Vision 2020 statements...err..maybe someone with a political clout can include this in the Common Minimum Prrogramme agenda!!!

Still if you could not picture her I suggest you think of Rory Gilmore of the Warner-Bros TV fame...only difference is that Rory was eager on going to Harvard and Yale while this smart one is gonna walk the hallowed grounds or should I say (in this 3G techno times) the hallowed portals of an equally exciting place...ATB Winky !!!
